I think Im gonna vote for Bob Barr.

McCain's proposing Shamnesty again, and talking about proposing artificial energy scarcity as a great plan for this country's economic future.

Good plan.  I'm sure BHO will be better on both those issues.

4 years of Carter sucked, but to get Reagan, it was worth it.

Don't worry zuk - maybe we can get PA to write in a vote for Nader to balance him out.

This is a matter of perspective.

I wish Reagan had won in 76 too.  McCain is no Reagan.

Re: I think Im gonna vote for Bob Barr.

Letting McCain cause an economic depression while simultaneously granting legal status to tens of millions of Mexican Nationals isnt the way forward.

And voting for Barr in a contest between BHO and McCain fixes that.

Re: I think Im gonna vote for Bob Barr.

Can anyone reference Barr's position on specifics such as drug legalization?  I didn't see anything on his web site, right off.

Back from the dead?

I've got nothing to contribute to your question about Barr's position on drugs, but now I'm going to think of you as a hippie liberal college student who smokes more weed than most hippie liberal college students. big_smile

No one's arguing that he would be.  But we -are- arguing that the -opposition- to BHO will be much much better if it's BHO heading up those issues.  The opposition will be non-existent if it's McCain leading on those issues.

Re: I think Im gonna vote for Bob Barr.

Much better to pin the dissaster on Dems than have McCain up there taking the blame for failed Leftwing policy implementation.

Anyways, I voted for Nader in 2000 and 2004, so my it will be Nader that is losing a vote to the Libertarian Party.

Lol, nice!

FWIW, I don't smoke pot, but I would favor legalizing it.  It's certainly no worse than alcohol.  The rest should stay illegal, IMO.

Mostly, I am just curious to know how committed a Libertarian Barr really is, or if he is simply in need of attention & knows he would have never gotten anywhere in the Republican primaries.
