Why would you want to buy a house in the US? We don't have socialized healthcare or good hockey teams...

114.9 for Chevron 92 and line-up really depends on time. Sometimes 1/2 hour to 3 mins. Better than paying Lieberal for stupid carbon tax.

I'd save about $18 per fill up. Might be worthwhile to get a Nexus card then.

bah!

those of the Canadian persuasion haven't had a team win a Cup in 15 years when Montreal won and fans rioted

With the possible exception of things like box scores, race results, and stock market tabulations, there is no such thing as Objective Journalism. The phrase itself is a pompous contradiction in terms.

Another reason my family is thinking of moving out of South Delta is due to the disasterous high voltage powerline buidling in my backyard. mad

Oh damn, you guys live in that area?

You know you can't live in the US more than 6 months less a day don't you? Unless you have a green card.

I didn't know that. I am exactly in that powerline area, right on top of my head. F--k Gordon Campbell government for igroance and arrogance on the whole community's health and property value. Port expansion + powerline + carbon tax = f--k B.C. Liberals in next May's election.

BTW, our whole area's bank account and computer have been monitored by BCTC, BC Hydro and B.C. government since we are opposed to what's their dream to the "world class Winter Olympics city".

Re: Canadian buying US foreclosure

I'm glad I left the GVRD in the early 90's.  Country living is the only way to go.

I would like it too. Ideally I want to retire in the interior of BC, or even in the Maritimes.

Little young to think about retirement, aren't we?

I thought we were too, but things changed. I'm the proud papa of a now 1 year old daughter!

So the next road trip may not be for a while. How are things? Haven't seen you post in a long time.

Re: Canadian buying US foreclosure

I've been away, you might say, for a while.  I'm back at home full time now so I may just be on here a little more than I have been in the last couple years.

It hasn't changed much, though.  Same asshats talking the same shit.  AHH.  It's good to be home.

Re: Canadian buying US foreclosure

Chris, are you still living in Langley? I am thinking of moving to Ladner or to somewhere else. Richmond is too crowded, with that Canada Line coming, its security won't be good in the long-term.

Re: Canadian buying US foreclosure

Tom I live in Surrey, we are planning to move to Langley though, away from our asshat neighbors.

Well thats one reason, but we want a detached home. I'm tired of townhouse living.

You thinking of buying a place on your own?

Yes, Skytrain is good transit but I wouldn't want to live anywhere near it. Watch crime rise in those areas.

Rick, good to have you back.

Re: Canadian buying US foreclosure

Townhouse doesn't have enough space for your daughter. Surrey and Langley aren't in my lists cause its a bit far away.
