Thank God for the DC council
Lots of gun guys thought the decision in Heller not much of a victory, because so much more (standard of review for restrictions and whether the right to bear arms is also protexcted) needs to be clarified. This will take further development of the case law that some feared could take a very long time.
DC has refused to register Heller's semi-automatic handgun. Heller says he will be back in court.
Outstanding.

The National Rifle Association has signaled it also will challenge the new D.C. regulation, describing the law as extreme and in "complete defiance of the Supreme Court's decision."
