So recently our cat "Kitty" has been ignoring her litterbox that has been in the same bathroom for over 2 fucking years. She has now decided that the KITCHEN CABINETS is where she would like to shit and piss.
I can't get her to shit in the litterbox anymore. Throwing her outside won't work because the previous owner decided to de-claw her and I can't let her out there defenseless. I can shut the cabinets all the way and she STILL finds away in. I don't feel like putting child locks on there because well, she'll just find somewhere else to shit. I'm at a loss.
Anyway, my question is this.
BBQ or Grill?

BBQ takes a hours to do. Grilling is quicker and used for different purposes. Do you mean gas vs charcoal? Bite your cat, then throw the cat in the tub and pee on it. Show it who owns your place.

Pan seared?

Maybe some Kitty Jambalaya.
On a more serious note though, WTF should I do?

Cats whose toilet habits change are trying to tell you something.
Sometimes it's a health issue. Other times it's an issue with some change in the environment, like a new person or pet in the house.

Nope. Neither one. Things have been the same since we moved in.

You haven't changed brands of cat litter have you?
I got some that my cats plain refused to use. There were protest shittings on the floor right next to the litterbox.

You know T, in some circles I am known as The Cat Whisperer. If you like, I can come over and handle this little issue for you and I guarantee that "Kitty" will never shit in your cabinets again. ![]()

Nope. Nothing has changed.

Nothing..... Other than your cat is shitting and pissing in your cabinets.
You've taken the cat to the vet for a check-up since it started?

Yup. She has allergies, but that's nothing new....she's always had them.
It's almost as if she's confused as to where she could be going but NOTHING has changed. It's in the same location, same litter, same food, same household, same everything.
Could she be going crazy? Seriously crazy?

Kitty Alzheimer's? I heard they can get that.

My best advice is to drop Pell an email. When it comes to dog issues, I'm really good with those. Cats are Pell's arena. In the dog world, it means that she needs to go to the vet. Track her eating and drinking for a day, and get thee to the vet. She's trying to tell you something. When Lilly does her business beside the cat box, not in it, it means that (in her little kitty mind) the litter needs changing, even if the box was cleaned that day.

Yea, she used to shit in the bathtub when her litterbox got dirty, but when we changed it she was fine. Now she won't step foot in there.
Maybe she likes to privacy of the cabinets more
She goes in on one side, traverses the cabinets all the way around the kitchen to the other side, then shits there. Then she opens the closest door and hops out.

Get her a litterbox with a cover.

Put a curtain around the litterbox.
