Benadryl and a book usually does it for me. But I haven't had problems falling asleep since before graduation. The real world's a bitch.

My wife used to give me so much shit when we'd go into a restaurant and I'd be so noice and polite to the staff. And if I ever had to send something back, I'd be as obsequious as possible. Any other type of service, I would let the staff have it in no uncertain terms.
But having seen what happens in the back of some kitchens... Ugh!
I had to explain to her that those people are service us food. She got the point. :sly:

When I was put on some endocrine meds years ago, I developed terrible insomnia. I didn't want to take any narcotic type meds so the doctor gave me Trazodone, which is an anti-depressant in 150-300 mg doses. However, a 50 mg dose is used by doctors to help sleep.
I know this medication works for me because if I don't take it, I: 1) won't fall asleep and 2) won't stay asleep.
When I was recently on prednisone for hives I had terrible insomnia again even with the Trazodone. It sucks - I really feel for you.
