but why would Obin make the observation that it'd be difficult to drive with those shoes? perhaps Obin has a prediliction to which we're not privy?
personally, I have no idea how it'd be to drive whilst wearing heals, i've never worn them...
all i'm saying is that it looks pretty darm hard to be able to drive a car with heels on shoes like that. whenever i drive my heel has to be resting on the ground so i can pivot my foot onto the pedals. with shoes like that i think it would be pretty tough. but hey i'm just guessing here.

If my shoes aren't flat or close to it - then I am barefoot. I can't stand stuff like that getting in the way of shifting.

that car is hot.
the girl would look better if she lost the nose ring and grew her hair out.

looks like a 25 horse too.
Car- nice but, too low, and RHD is a turnoff. I never get why people want RHD bugs. I hope it's not a conversion.
Girl, nice, she ought to smile though.

Total agreement.
We disagree on the car, however. I absolutely LOVE it.
I LOVE resto mods, regardless of type of car, from '60s Mustangs and Chevelles, to classic trucks, to VW Bugs, to British sports cars. This is hot rodding, not Euro or Japanese style tuner cars. It's all about accentuating the classic style with modern hot rod style
And there is NO such thing as "too low." Especially if the suspension is adjustible. My Comet will be that low. Fuck practical daily driver; I can have other cars for that. A custom statement like that is stunning.

waitaminute, I thought you said it was too low because the swingaxle rear gave it too much negative camber?
and where's the centercap on the front BRM?

i don't think it's too low, thats just what happens when you lower a swing axle car. i preffer irs rear suspension aircooleds bjut the pre 68's have an awsome look to them.

Actually, even the IRS cars get pretty big camber changes when lowered that far, due to the rear trailing arms being angled, not straight (unlike the rear of, say, a Porsche 914, which can drop straight down with no camber change whatsoever). Trust me, I've had IRS cars and 914s sitting that low.
Of course, the ideal setup is the IRS pan under a pre/63 Bug, to get the early body, and fenders on a better suspension...

i wish i was that lucky.
i did manage to find a set of mexican fenders with the small bumper bracket holes and no holes for turn signals.

I've got a set of those. It's the only kind you get if you ask for the cheap early bug fenders from most vendors in Hot VWs... I used them on numerous later bugs to get the early look.
