Anyone know what its called and how to get the following to display...
Total Cost......................................................... $1,000,000.00
... with out typing out dozens of periods. I know there is a function in Word that allows you to just tab over the price and it will automatically move the price to the right side and justify it to the margin, then fill the space in between with 'dots'.
It could also be applied to a table of contents
Foreword............... 1
Index.................... 2
Chapter 1 ............. 3
Chapter 2 ............. 4
etc...

Man you guys are worthless... they're called tab leaders.
-On the Format menu, click Tabs.
-In the Tab stop position box, type the position for a new tab, or select an existing tab stop to which you want to add leader characters.
-Under Alignment, select the alignment for text typed at the tab stop.
-Under Leader, click the leader option you want, and then click Set.

I typeset all my documents with hot lead galley type.

Ahhhh hemmm... Isn't this a problem for one's secretary? They're great for tasks like that and getting coffee and taking suits to the cleaners. I share one with 7 other guys. :guns:
